The flu still being seen at North Elston
The flu season is generally considered to run from October to May and usually peaks around February. This year, we are still seeing many patients come in to our clinic with fever, sore throat, cough, and body aches and pains, and when we perform a rapid influenza test in the clinic, we find that these patients are positive for influenza.
If you have the flu, it is important to get checked and treated within 24 to 48 hours. There is treatment, but this treatment is only effective when taken early in the course of your illness.
